Bobbin’s Nest Studio is making over the image of the modern crafter. We specialize in: knitting, sewing, crochet, and hand embroidery.

Offering products from all over the world that are easy to work with and eco-friendly, Bobbin’s Nest Studio carries everything you will need to start that perfect project!

Our fabrics range from wool to cotton and are lovely to use for everything from a simple baby quilt to an A-line skirt.

We have an elegant yarn selection that includes hand-painted, custom spun, and exquisite fiber content.

Exclusive in our hand embroidery products, we only carry the finest, modern lines of embroidery ware. Bags and accessories abound!

Plus, we have the best craft book section in the Bay Area, as well as an excellent selection of indie patterns.

About Erin

The concept of melding several different crafts into one store came from Erin McGee’s 20 years of crafting experience.

A seamstress from the age of 9, Erin found a passion for art and enjoyed the social aspects in 4-H sewing classes.

She also took pleasure in embroidery and crochet as a young girl, but it wasn’t until she took up knitting that she found a community of people who felt the same way about social crafting as she did.

After college, where she earned 3 degrees in art and interior design, and many interesting careers, she decided to open a store that had every craft she was looking for, but couldn’t find in one place.

Bobbin’s Nest Studio was inaugurated on September 29, 2007. Surrounded by people of like mind and ideas, including her 4-H sewing teacher, Erin found the encouragement and motivation that she needed to pursue her dream.
